HOW DOES LASER GENESIS WORK?
Micro-pulses of laser energy are gently delivered to the skin. The laser stimulates the body’s own processes to activate collagen remodeling to improve the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and unwanted brown spots. In addition, Laser Genesis addresses facial redness by targeting the excess micro vessels. Although the individual treatment results are subtle, the overall effect of a treatment series can be quite dramatic.
WHAT DOES LASER GENESIS FEEL LIKE?
You will experience a gentle warming of your skin’s surface during the procedure. Patients often describe the treatment as relaxing and therapeutic. No downtime, but you may notice some slight redness immediately afterwards.
WHAT AREAS CAN BE TREATED?
Laser Genesis is an ideal treatment for the face, neck, chest, and other areas of the body with noticeable signs of aging, sun damage, redness, mild wrinkles or scarring.
HOW MANY TREATMENTS ARE REQUIRED?
A series of three to six Laser Genesis treatments are recommended to achieve an optimal outcome. Improvements are gradual and will be seen over a period of few treatments. Results will continue to improve for months after the last treatment. To sustain results over time, ongoing maintenance treatments are encouraged.

WHAT IS EXCEL V+?
Excel V+ is the fast and easy way to treat visible veins, discoloration and wrinkles. It is the most advanced aesthetic laser technology, combining two powerfully precise lasers to target and eliminate unwanted reds, browns, purples and blues on the face and body.
WHAT DOES EXCEL V+ TREAT?
Excel V+ treats more than twenty unique aesthetic and dermatologic skin concerns. The most common excel V+ treatments include rosacea, facial and leg veins, age/brown spots, and acne scars.
HOW DOES EXCEL V+ WORK?
Your treatment provider will select one of excel V+’s two lasers and customize the treatment settings to target the color and depth of your skin concern. Most treatments are finished in just a few minutes, and results are typically seen after a series of 1-3 treatment sessions.
HOW MANY TREATMENTS ARE REQUIRED?
With excel V+, most skin concerns require only one to two treatment sessions to achieve results. However, the number of treatments will vary based on your condition. Your excel V+ provider will discuss a customized treatment plan during your consultation.
IS THE TREATMENT PAINFUL?
Excel V+ treatments can feel similar to a quick rubber band snap against skin. Depending on the procedure, a cooled treatment tip will be in contact with the skin to protect and provide additional comfort to the area. A topical anesthetic may be available from your provider to improve your treatment experience.
ARE THERE ANY SIDE EFFECTS? WHAT ABOUT DOWNTIME?
Typically, you can wear make-up and return to normal activities immediately. Redness and/or swelling can be expected following treatment. For full face treatments, swelling will peak 24 to 48 hours post treatment and usually resolves within a few days. Your provider may recommend a topical steroid to reduce swelling as needed. Treated brown spots will darken following the treatment and slough off within 1-2 weeks.
Contraindications and medications
There are some circumstances, medical conditions and medications in which Laser may prove to be unsuitable. Please read and consider these before you book your Laser sessions.

Haloperidol (5 day stand down prior to treatment)
Chlorpromazine (5 day stand down prior to treatment)
Trifluoperazine(5 day stand down prior to treatment)
Amiodrone (5 day stand down prior to treatment)
Isotretinoin (5 day stand down prior to treatment)
Roaccutane(5 day stand down prior to treatment)
Auranofin (Laser not to be administered)
Azathioprine (Laser not to be administered)
Naproxen (Additional treatments may be required to achieve desired results)
Celecoxib (Additional treatments may be required to achieve desired results)
Contraindications:

Epilepsy or Seizures triggered by light
Porphyria
Lupus Erythematous
Polymorphic Light Eruption
Photosensitive Eczema
Hypomelanism (Albanism)
Active Skin Cancers

For any lesion removal treatments such as pigmentation or vascular lesions, you MUST have had a skin check with a dermatologist or cancer clinic within the last 12 months. This is because laser could potentially remove the visual evidence of cancer lesions.
