How does it work?
Cosmelan® is a professional depigmenting method that fully removes the most severe and resistant spots with maximum efficacy and safety. The cosmelan® method is a unique combination of active ingredients of proven efficacy that provides it with a unique and dual action for a short- and long-term outcome:
- Corrective action: visibly removes and reduces spots.
- Regulating action: it regulates the overproduction of pigmentation to prevent the spots' reappearance.
When should we choose Dermamelan®?
Dermamelan® is the world's top medical depigmentation treatment and the stronger counterpart to Cosmelan.
When hyperpigmentation presents in a darker skin type or is a more complex case such as Melasma, Dermamelan will provide the most effective depigmentation results.

Treatment process
Step 1: Consultation
Before we begin your Cosmelan or Dermamelan program, a detailed and thorough skin consultation must take place to determine your skin condition, form and severity of hyperpigmentation, desired results and develop an effective treatment plan.
Step 2: Cosmelan or Dermamelan Peel Application
Your skin will be thoroughly cleansed and prepped for the Cosmelan or Dermamelan peel application. This will be left on for 8-12 hours, and you will be instructed by your skin therapist, when and how to cleanse off depending your skin type and severity of hyperpigmentation.
Step 3: Home Care Products
After your peel we will focus on healing your skin as well as regulating and maintaining your depigmentation results. As part of your programme, you will receive a full home care regime that you will be required to follow strictly for the first three months post peel. After three months you will be required to repurchase your hero depigmentation serum to effectively continue your program and achieve results.
Step 4: Follow Up LED sessions
At approximately two weeks post peel you will begin your LED Lounge sessions at a frequency of 2 x per week. This will allow our Therapists can asses how your skin is progressing, make any adjustments. The LED sessions focuse on enhancing the cell renewal process, stimulating collagen, restructuring the hydrolipidic film and increasing the skin’s moisture levels. On copletion of your LED Lounge sessions you will complete a hands-on LED session with our Skin Therapists.
What can i expect
During and post peel
Cosmelan and Dermamelan are comfortable, cream-clay like peels, with minimal to no sensations until removed.
After the peel has been removed the skin may be red, tender and present with some swelling. This is all very normal and part of the process! From days 2-3 the skin will begin to peel or shed and the results from your treatment will start to show through.
Fluctuations in visibility of hyperpigmetation are expected throughout the 4-9 month journey. To ensure optimal results, it is important to follow the strict guidelines that are required during the program.
